By glabrie @ 1:47 PM :: 1386 Views :: 0 Comments   The 2008 Mitch Nathanson Classic Racquetball Tournament returns to Executive Health & Sports Center in Manchester on January 25 through 27. This years tournament offers over $7,000 in cash and prizes. In the past this event has helped raise over $30,000 to help promote racquetball to juniors throughout the New England area. Also, in the past years the tournament has had 350 players and over 1000 spectators throughout the weekend. For those new to this tournament the Mitch Nathanson Classic was named after Mitch Nathanson who died in 1991 in a tragic car accident. Mitch was an accomplished racquetball player and devoted countless hours to helping kids learn how to play. The Mitch Nathanson Foundation, a 510(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to help encourage the develpment and improvement of junior racquetball and to teach children the qualities that Mitch represented: Friendship, Sportsmanship and Selflessness.
